It’s that time of the year to start applying for the Dual Language program at our campus. Come learn about our Campus Wide Dual Language program by attending a Dual Language School Tour!
The application process has changed a bit this year. The application window for Kinder and 1st grade students is now open for transfer and zoned students. Second-grade–5th-grade students may apply but must demonstrate Spanish proficiency before being approved. The window will close on January 13th. PK3 and PK4 applications will not open until the Spring semester. We will have school tours for PK3/Pk4 in February.
In the past only transfer families were required to apply for the Dual Language program at our campus. This year AISD is requiring all families whether they are zoned or transfers to apply to our program. Current families do not have to apply every year. Once a student is approved for our program they are grandfathered in through 5th grade. Zoned students will always have priority over transfer students. After zoned students are accepted the following student priority order of approvals will happen: current student’s siblings, Spanish speaking students, AISD employee’s children and AISD transfer students. Out of district students will be the last to be considered but will follow the same priority list: current student’s siblings, Spanish speaking students, and AISD employee’s children.
